Calcium peroxide has lightening, disinfecting and deodorizing properties, and is widely used in the food, agrochemical, and personal care industries. Generally, calcium peroxide is used in soil remediation, bulk conditioning, seed disinfection, oil bleaching, antiseptic, starch modification, and other applications. Calcium peroxide is used as a stabilizer in rubber manufacturing, and calcium peroxide is used to harden polysulfide sealants which are subsequently used in double-glazed windows. In precious metal mining, such as gold and silver, peroxide calcium is mainly consumed to increase the recovery efficiency and to reduce the cyanide consumption.
