Market Overview

The market in brief: size, growth, who leads and what is changing.

The global AI integration platform market was worth USD 4.65 billion in 2025 and is set to reach USD 27.43 billion by 2034, a CAGR of 21.8%. The main driver is the move of AI agents into production, where every agent needs governed access to CRM, ERP and data systems; Salesforce's Agentforce ARR reached USD 800 million in fiscal 2026, up 169%[1]. North America holds 45% of revenue, while Asia Pacific grows fastest at 24.8% a year. AI-enabled iPaaS is the largest platform type at 45%.

  • Salesforce is the largest single vendor after closing its Informatica acquisition on November 18, 2025, combining MuleSoft and Informatica in a line that earned USD 6,232 million of subscription and support revenue in fiscal 2026[1][2].
  • Agents are already running at scale on integration platforms: more than 75,000 AI agents built on Boomi were deployed in production by February 2026[3].
  • The Model Context Protocol has become the shared connection standard, with more than 10,000 MCP servers published by December 2025 and the protocol placed under the Linux Foundation's new Agentic AI Foundation[4].
  • Integration is the gating factor for agent projects: in a Tray.ai survey of more than 1,000 enterprise technology leaders, 42% said they need eight or more data sources to deploy agents successfully[5].
  • Adoption headroom is large: 20.0% of EU enterprises with 10 or more employees used AI in 2025, up from 13.5% a year earlier, and 37% of US firms with at least 250 employees reported AI use[6][7].
  • Consolidation is reshaping the supplier base, with IBM completing its USD 11 billion enterprise value acquisition of Confluent in March 2026 to add real-time data streaming to webMethods[8][9].

What is AI integration platform?

An AI integration platform is the software layer that lets AI models and AI agents read from and act on enterprise systems. It covers the AI-attributable share of integration platform as a service (iPaaS) subscriptions, agent orchestration and builder platforms that are tied to integration, API management and MCP or AI gateways that broker agent traffic, and data integration pipelines built to feed AI. Google describes the Model Context Protocol as a common standard to connect AI models with data and tools[16], and IBM states plainly that there is no AI without integration[17]. The market value excludes foundation model and LLM API fees, cloud compute, standalone robotic process automation, consulting and systems integration services, and the share of classic integration licences that serves no AI workload. Services spend, including AI systems integration projects, sits outside this perimeter even though it is often bought alongside the platform.

How AI integration platform works, step by step
  1. Connect: prebuilt connectors, APIs and MCP servers expose CRM, ERP, data lakes and SaaS apps; Zapier alone reaches more than 9,000 apps[18].
  2. Orchestrate: an agent builder or workflow engine decides which tool to call, chaining deterministic steps, serverless functions and AI reasoning in one flow[19].
  3. Govern: a gateway registers, authenticates and observes agent traffic over MCP and Agent-to-Agent protocols, as MuleSoft Agent Fabric does[20].
  4. Feed data: data integration and streaming pipelines keep the context agents rely on current and trusted[10][8].
  5. Monitor and bill: vendors charge per subscription tier, per execution or per invocation, as AgentCore Gateway does per 1,000 API calls[12][21].

AI Integration Platform Market Size and Outlook

How big the market is, how fast it grows and the forces behind it.

We size the market on two independent routes and set the 2025 base between them. The bottom-up route starts from the leaders' disclosed integration revenue. Salesforce reported USD 6,232 million of Agentforce Integration and Agentforce Analytics revenue in fiscal 2026, up from USD 5,775 million[1]; we take half of that line, USD 3,116 million, as MuleSoft integration. Informatica's Cloud Subscription ARR was USD 968.6 million[10], SnapLogic passed USD 100 million of ARR[11], and Boomi's more than 30,000 customers[3] at an average subscription of USD 15,000 give USD 450 million. That named subtotal of USD 4,635 million is about 40% of integration platform software revenue, a pool of USD 11,590 million. SnapLogic ties more than 20% of new and expansion sales to AI[11], which we treat as a floor; with agent modules on top we set the AI-attributable share at 35%, or USD 4,056 million, and add AI-native connectivity billed outside the suites, such as AWS AgentCore Gateway[12], to reach USD 4,543 million.

The top-down route uses official adoption data. The EU has 53,000 large and 246,000 medium enterprises[13], of which 55.03% and 30.36% used AI in 2025[14]. That gives 29,166 large firms at USD 25,000 a year (USD 729 million) and 74,686 medium firms at USD 4,000 a year (USD 299 million); a self-serve tier for small firms lifts the EU total to USD 1,151 million. Europe accounted for USD 10,017 million of Salesforce's USD 41,525 million fiscal 2026 revenue across its three regions, a 24.1% weight[1], so the global market is USD 4,777 million. The two routes bracket our base of USD 4.65 billion. Growth of 21.8% blends fast AI layers, including Informatica Cloud ARR up 29.5%[10] and n8n's 10x revenue growth in 2025[15], with the mature integration base, where Salesforce's line grew 7.9%[1]. The market adds USD 22.78 billion between 2025 and 2034.

Bar chart of the global AI integration platform market size from 2023 to 2034: USD 4.65 Billion in 2025, rising to USD 27.43 Billion by 2034 at a 21.8% CAGR.

Drivers, restraints and opportunities

Demand is set by how quickly enterprises push AI agents from pilots into production, because each production agent needs secure, governed access to several systems of record. Supply is consolidating around a few large suites while open protocols lower switching costs, and self-serve tools keep entry prices low for small firms.

AI-Enabled iPaaS

The largest platform type at 45% of 2025 revenue. It covers enterprise suites such as Boomi, which serves more than 30,000 customers[3], and self-serve automation tools such as Tray iPaaS for integration, automation and MCP[29].

Agent Orchestration and Builder Platforms

The fastest-growing platform type at 26.5% a year. Builders such as Boomi Agentstudio[23] and Workato Agent Studio[19] design, govern and run agents, and Agentforce ARR growth of 169% shows how fast this layer scales[1].

API Management and MCP Gateways

Gateways broker and secure agent calls to tools. MuleSoft sells agent governance as a gateway for MCP and A2A traffic[20], and AWS charges for AgentCore Gateway per 1,000 invocations[12], a usage model that grows with agent traffic.

AI Data Integration and Pipelines

Pipelines that clean, move and stream data into AI context. Informatica's Cloud Subscription ARR grew 29.5% to USD 968.6 million[10], and IBM's completed Confluent acquisition adds streaming to an integration portfolio[8][9].

04

AI Integration Platform Market by Region

Where the revenue is today and where growth is fastest.

Regional demand follows enterprise software spend and AI adoption. Salesforce's fiscal 2026 revenue split of USD 27,193 million in the Americas, USD 10,017 million in Europe and USD 4,315 million in Asia Pacific[1] anchors the weights, adjusted for adoption data from the US Census Bureau and Eurostat[7][6].

North America

North America holds 45% of the market and grows at 19.8% a year. Most leading vendors are headquartered in the United States, and 37% of US firms with at least 250 employees reported using AI in the December 2025 to May 2026 survey window[7]. Overall US adoption is lower, at about 18% of firms at year-end 2025[24], so growth comes from mid-sized firms catching up with large ones. Salesforce's Americas revenue grew 9% in constant currency in Q4 fiscal 2026[1].

Europe

Europe accounts for 27% of revenue and grows at 22.3% a year. AI use among EU enterprises with 10 or more employees rose from 13.5% to 20.0% between 2024 and 2025[6], one of the fastest adoption shifts in any region. Salesforce's European revenue grew 13% in constant currency in Q4 fiscal 2026[1]. Germany hosts SAP, whose Joule Studio added A2A and MCP support[26], and Berlin-based n8n[31].

Asia Pacific

Asia Pacific holds 21% of revenue and is the fastest-growing region at 24.8% a year. Salesforce's Asia Pacific revenue of USD 4,315 million grew 13% in constant currency in Q4 fiscal 2026[1], matching Europe. Hyperscaler services, local cloud platforms and ERP suites carry a larger share of demand here than in the West, and Japan, China, India and Australia lead spend. Managed MCP servers from cloud providers[16] reduce the build effort for firms with thin integration teams.

Latin America

Latin America holds 4% of revenue and grows at 21.8% a year, in line with the global market. Brazil and Mexico account for most spend, led by banks, retailers and telecom operators that already run cloud CRM and ERP. Self-serve plans priced from USD 9 to USD 69 a month[32][18] lower the entry cost for mid-sized firms in the region, where budgets for enterprise suites are tighter.

Middle East & Africa

Middle East & Africa holds 3% of revenue and grows at 22.7% a year. The United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia lead through national digital government and banking programs, with South Africa the main market in Africa. Buyers here favour hyperscaler-managed services billed on consumption, such as AgentCore Gateway[12], and hybrid runtimes that keep regulated data in country[17]. Banks, telecom operators and government entities are the first large buyers of agent connectivity in the region.

05

AI Integration Platform Companies

Who competes, how concentrated the market is and how the leaders compare.

The market is moderately concentrated: Salesforce, Microsoft, Boomi, IBM and Workato hold about 41% of revenue. Salesforce's integration line is the largest single block[1], hyperscalers sell agent connectivity inside their clouds[22][12], and a long tail of self-serve tools such as Zapier, Make and n8n competes on price and app coverage[18][32][15].

Donut chart showing Salesforce (MuleSoft and Informatica), Microsoft, Boomi, IBM and Workato together hold about 41% of the AI integration platform market in 2025, with SAP, Google Cloud, AWS, Oracle, SnapLogic, Zapier.

The analysis combines primary research, through interviews with integration architects, platform product leaders and enterprise IT buyers, with secondary research in company filings, annual reports and releases, vendor price lists, and official statistics from Eurostat, the US Census Bureau and the Federal Reserve. Vendor revenue comes from filings such as Salesforce's fiscal 2026 results[1], and adoption from official surveys[14][7].

Diagram of the research methodology: bottom-up sizing (leaders' integration revenue x ai-attributable share) and top-down sizing (eu ai-using firms x annual spend, grossed up globally) are triangulated into one market size, then validated through primary interviews and a source re-check.

Frequently Asked Questions

Short answers to the questions buyers ask most.

How large is the AI integration platform market?

The market was worth USD 4.65 billion in 2025 and is set to reach USD 27.43 billion by 2034, growing at a CAGR of 21.8%. The figure covers platform software only, not services or model fees.

How big is the AI integration services market compared with the platform market?

AI integration and systems integration services, the consulting and implementation work bought around these platforms, sit outside our USD 4.65 billion figure. We count only software subscriptions and consumption fees, so services spend adds to, rather than overlaps with, this market.

Is AI a separate segment of the systems integration market?

Systems integration firms do report AI work as a growing practice, but their revenue is labour and project fees. This report treats AI systems integration services as adjacent and sizes the software that those integrators deploy, such as MuleSoft, Boomi and Workato.

What is the difference between an AI integration platform and a classic iPaaS?

A classic iPaaS moves data between applications on fixed rules. An AI integration platform adds agent builders, MCP and agent gateways and AI data pipelines, so agents can discover tools and act on enterprise systems under governance, as MuleSoft Agent Fabric does.

How does the Model Context Protocol change integration buying?

MCP gives agents one standard way to call tools and data. More than 10,000 MCP servers were published by December 2025, so buyers now ask vendors for MCP gateways and governance rather than custom connectors for each model.

Which companies lead the AI integration platform market?

Salesforce (MuleSoft and Informatica), Microsoft, Boomi, IBM and Workato hold about 41% of revenue. SAP, Google, AWS, Oracle, SnapLogic, Zapier, Celigo, Jitterbit, Tray.ai and n8n are the other main suppliers.

What does an AI integration platform cost?

Self-serve plans start at USD 9 a month on Make and USD 19.99 a month on Zapier, n8n Business costs EUR 667 a month, and the largest enterprise contracts run above USD 1 million a year. Hyperscaler gateways charge per invocation.

Should enterprises buy agent connectivity from a hyperscaler or an independent vendor?

Hyperscaler gateways such as AgentCore Gateway suit firms whose agents and data already sit in one cloud and want consumption billing. Independent vendors such as Boomi, Workato or SnapLogic suit multi-cloud estates with many SaaS applications that need one governance layer.

Which region grows fastest?

Asia Pacific grows fastest at 24.8% a year, from 21% of 2025 revenue, while North America remains the largest region with 45%. Europe grows at 22.3% on fast AI adoption among EU enterprises.

Why do so many AI agent projects stall before production?

Agents need access to many systems: 42% of enterprise technology leaders say they need eight or more data sources. Boomi states that 70% to 95% of organizations miss the expected benefits of AI and automation projects, often because integration and governance come late.
