Hotel IPTV Market to Reach USD 4.62 Billion by 2034 as Cloud Platforms Replace the On-Site Headend

By Growth Market Reports Research, published , updated

Ontario, California, 6 October 2026. The global hotel IPTV market was worth USD 2.31 billion in 2025 and will reach USD 4.62 billion by 2034, growing at a CAGR of 8.0% from 2025 to 2034, according to the new Hotel IPTV Market report from Growth Market Reports. The report finds the market moving off the hotel premises: cloud-based platforms earned 37% of 2025 revenue and are projected to take 60% by 2034, growing at a 14.0% CAGR, after the two largest hotel TV makers launched their own cloud consoles at HITEC 2026.

TV makers move hotel television into the cloud

On 16 June 2026, LG Electronics USA unveiled Pro:Centric Cloud, which manages LG hotel TVs from the cloud, connects to the OPERA property management system and needs no on-premise server. The same week, Samsung launched The Frame hospitality model, managed through its LYNK Cloud platform, with a global rollout from the second half of 2026. Managed-service providers are answering with broader platforms: SONIFI unveiled SONIFI Central, one platform for hotel Wi-Fi, TVs, phones and support, and in September 2026 Nonius set out the case for Nonius TV+, an interactive TV platform that works across TV brands.

Cloud pricing changes how hotels buy

Cloud platforms remove the on-site headend and are billed per room per month. European vendor price guides put cloud hotel IPTV at about EUR 3 to 5 per room per month for basic platforms and EUR 8 to 12 for full-featured ones, while a traditional on-premises system needs about USD 200 to 500 per room up front. Software is the fastest-growing component at a 9.9% CAGR, and services remain the largest at 36% of 2025 revenue, because most chains buy IPTV as a multi-year managed contract rather than as equipment.

Advertising is the fastest-growing application

In-room entertainment, covering live TV, streaming apps and guest casting, earned 58% of 2025 revenue. Advertising and upsell grows fastest at an 11.9% CAGR as TV makers add marketing tools to the guest screen: LG's Pro:Centric+ platform added client-side ad insertion in 2025. Live television still matters to guests, and DIRECTV HOSPITALITY, now wholly owned by TPG, is bringing Google TV to its Advanced Entertainment Platform with full deployment in 2026.

North America leads, the Middle East and Africa grows fastest

North America holds 36.0% of the market, home to the largest managed-service providers. Europe and Asia Pacific each hold 27.0%, Latin America 4.5% and the Middle East and Africa 5.5%. The Middle East and Africa is the fastest-growing region at a 10.6% CAGR, as Saudi Arabia and the UAE add upscale hotel rooms. The top five service providers (SONIFI, DIRECTV HOSPITALITY, DISH Business, Enseo and Uniguest) hold about 34% of revenue, which leaves room for TV makers and regional software vendors.

"The buying decision in hotel television has shifted from which headend to install to which cloud platform to subscribe to. With LG and Samsung now offering cloud management directly on their sets, managed-service providers have to win on content, casting and support across the whole guest network rather than on the box in the server room. We expect hotels refreshing their TVs over the next five years to choose cloud by default, with on-premises systems kept mainly for large resorts and casinos."
